Responding to the effects of 2013’s Hurricane Sandy, this boathouse for Brooklyn Bridge Park anticipates future sea level rise and increasing storm surge events.




Durable materials are used, electrical equipment is kept above surge levels, and “wet” functions are kept to the bottom level. “Dry” functions elevate above long term flood levels guaranteeing their use for decades.
