Overlap is a modular coffee table that doubles as auxiliary seating when pulled apart.





Made as a simple expression of two metal fabrication techniques in 1/4” steel plate, one part is folded using a press brake and then welded to a pair of staggered legs. The overlapping legs allow each module to nest neatly against adjacent modules, enabling the table to grow or shrink as desired.
